CLIVE BETTS MP

Clive is a senior Labour Party politician who has continuously served as Sheffield South East's MP since 2010, after previously serving as Sheffield Attercliffe's MP between 1992 and 2010.

He remains a longstanding chair of the Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Committee, following his appointment in June 2010.

As a former leader of Sheffield City Council and a former captain of the Parliamentary football team, Clive, an openly gay Owls fan, told us he is "really pleased and honoured to be asked to be an ambassador of Rainbow Owls".

NIALL GUITE

As a gold medallist in basketball at the 2015 Special Olympics, Niall became the first person with an intellectual disability to be exhibited at the Royal Academy of Art and the first British Special Olympian to give a TedX Talk.

The global success of Niall's football art - earning praise from Manchester City midfielder Rodri, Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui and one of Niall's favourite players, former Owls winger Kadeem Harris - led to his business becoming Special Olympics GB's first athlete-led social enterprise.

After winning his second and third medals at the 2023 Special Olympics - this time with a silver and another gold in cycling - Niall will be returning to Hillsborough as a season ticket holder and is looking forward to working with Rainbow Owls to ensure the true inclusion of all in football.

NICK MATTHEW OBE

Lifelong Owls fan Nick is one of Sheffield's most decorated athletes, having won three gold medals in squash at the 2010 and 2014 Commonwealth Games.

In addition to securing another gold at the 2009 World Games and three World Opens, after becoming the first English male player to secure this title, Nick spent 19 months as the world's highest ranked squash player.

Since his retirement in 2018, Nick's academy has continued to ensure that young squash players can thrive and he will enter his tenth year as a patron of Sheffield Children's Hospital in 2024.
